"While we may not control what challenges come in our lives,
we can learn the skills we need to live in harmony with what life presents, allowing us to live in peace within our bodies."= ~Amy Fabrikant |
About AmyIn my own life, I have found that the practices I advocate — holistic nutrition, Reiki, mindfulness-based stress reduction and meditation - Western herbalism— have been meaningful tools for resolving emotional and physical traumas.
I draw on that personal perspective, along with 30 years of experience with evidence based practices, to help clients achieve happier, more balanced lives. Ever since I was a child of 8-9 years old, I collected perfumes, expensive ones almost empty, the remains gifted by my Mother, my Aunt Rozy, and her older sister's friends. Amy would gather her perfumes and unscrew the tops to take a few last drops of one, and then a few drops of another until she could form the perfect "feeling" and "color" she was imagining. When Amy was raising her three children, she expanded her work in education and became an aromatherapist, educating other parents and colleagues about the healing benefits of aromatic oils. Amy developed an understanding of the essential oils by working with them as a way to help heal her family. She found many formulas that kept her and her children in good health. Over the years, Amy continued to study and deepen her relationship with plants and trees with many mentor herbalists, aromatherapists, and energy healers. She found ways to support more mental wellness, specifically, her feelings of loneliness and sadness with herbs and essential oils. As her family grew and her children grappled with gender identity and mental wellness, the activist in Amy was ignited, these formulas were her love creations. Amy shares all this love in her perfume creations, guided by intuition, to contribute more healing and goodness in the world.
